wtf is wrong with my emperor!

ROLLIN, that are great filters. When you are about to turn them on, all you have to do it put water in them and plau them in, thats it. Yea, there is an annoying sound, but it doesn't last long enough to not like the filter anymore.

Even when mine is fully filled with water it still will not work right. It just sprays some of the water out and then sound like its struggling for its like, thats why I have to constantly pour water in for about 15 seconds to get it to work. It simply will not work if I dont keep pouring water in for a little bit. Thats not the only reason I dont particularily like it. Im quite sure mine doesnt pump even close to 280 gallons per hour. I have it on 10 gallon, which also has a betta in it and he can swim or even stay directly behind the life tube and it doesnt suck him towards it at all. But I seriously think mine is defective, because everyone says how powerfully they are, and mine cant even suck a bettas fins toward it.

another thing is that the water level in the tank usually needs to be high before they will start. on my 29 gallon my emp wpould never restart well unless the water was full the bottom of the black trim. strangely now that its on my 120 gallon it has no problems restarting and i rarley have to put water in it to restart it. when it was on my 29 gallon i used an old powerhead with a hose on it to pump water in (right into the side of the impeller housing) as i plugged the emp in, it worked quite well.

the motor was running but wasn't pumping any water....
what the hell should i try doing?

An Emperor filter can't be that complicated!
