XBox 360 a POS

$500-$750 for a console.

And then $50 or more per game.

Video games are not worth that much money. At least a computer can do other things.

I dont get why not having backward compatability is a bad thing.

In the history of gaming machines, how many were backward compatable with previous versions? 1? 2? out of the 50 or so machines that existed.

I dont see how this is a downside, the fact that with a hard drive and emulator it can play most of the previous games is beyond what it has to do.

True a computer may be able to do more things, but your paying for entertainment. $500-$700 may seem like a lot, but they are trying to make new consoles entertainmaent hubs. An all in one multi media box, The PS3 will be backward compatable (1000's of games to choose from) a CD player, a Blu ray DVD player, plus whatever else they can stuff into it. Yes the games will be $50+ a piece, but if you enjoy them is it not worth it? How much does it cost to go to diner and a movies $100 or more. Why do people spend that much? for the entertainment.

Maybe in biased because I'm a gaming freak, but I don't think $500 is all that bad. It's actually cheap if you compare it to what an Atari cost back in the day. In 1977 the retail of the Atari 2600 was $200.00.
