About a month ago, I added two xenia frags to my 110 g reeef tank. They both seemed to be doing quite well initially. Last week I added two small maxima clams. I restructured my lighthing, adding 1 250w MH 10,000 k bulb to ensure the clams had sufficent lighting. My tank now has 690 watts of lighting. 4 VHO's (3 actinic, 1 10,K). The xenia's are about 14 inches below the surface, almost directly under the MH bulb. Since the addition of the MH they seem to remain more compact, not opening as fully as they did before. Could the MH be too much light for them? Would you recommend I move them to a darker part of my tank?

Thanks,

Give them a few more days to adjust to the light. Changing lighting is just about the same as changing water conditions. If after about a week, you see no change, you might think about moving them.
