XP2 CO2 injection

I'm setting up a 40g planted show tank. I am trying to find the best way to inject my CO2. Right now I am leaning toward adding a T with a check valve to the intake line of my canister filter (Rena XP2). I wanted to get some opinions or experieces on this method of injection.

There are numerous models for DIY reactors that should be located on the Outflow side of your XP2.
Use the search engine and type in 'reactors' or 'cannister reactors' and you will probably find at least a few that are easy and inexpensive to make.
I also have an XP2 and would strongly recommend not running the gas through the filter. It can very often cause a cannister to lock up, which can lead to a 'running dry' affect, which can/will ruin the filter.
Run your gas into the out-flow side via a reactor like the ones I mention above. Very effective with no risk of harming the filter.
