Yay, emperor scorpion!

scorpions do not move as much as something as a lizard and i think your 5.5 is adequate.

you just need a low wattage heating pad at one end btw

I have a tarantula, and to be honest the only thing that turns me off scorpions is that they don't live very long compared to most tarantulas.

i just got an emperor scorpion and the scorpion seems to be very stressed, hes always trying to climb the walls of the tank, i was wondering if its because the tank is too small or if its not the proper humidity

i got empereor scorpions, your right about the walking space. they stay in there burrow all day in night exept at 11:15 one will walk a lap around the tank and go back to bed. they even eat in there burrows. (this happens every 11:15-20PM)

don't use a black light too often or they won't glow anymore, and please post some pics:)!

whats your humidity?

I used to have one when I was a youngster, and it really was entertaining watching the scorpion catch its prey. Used to feed it geckos I found outside the house at night.

I would have kept the geckos :lipssealedsmilie:
