That's right! I am now the owner of five little Dwarf Puffers. :dance

I picked them up at PetSmart Friday for $1.99 each. I also got two Otos and another Peppered Cory Cat for Alex's tank. The puffers are all juveniles, and have the turquoise spots on them. So cute!

I put them in the tank and they swam single-file around the tank, as if taking a tour. Their little eyes were looking all around and up as if to say, "Whoa... this place is HUGE!"

I must have watched them for nearly an hour. These little guys are going to be a lot of fun for me. :D

The Petsmarts near me have what appear to be very young DPs as well (only ~.75). Must be because they're breeding them now, and they like to sell them off young.

No Petsmart breeds at their place, none have the facilities or the time. What they mean is they buy them from a place that breeds them rather than buying wild caught ones. If yours a really tiny I would assume they are Captive bred. Anyway, hope this helps and good luck.

Took the words right out of my mouth :)

Congrats again on the puffs, Jenny!

actually, I've gotten free baby fish from petsmart. I don't know why they remove them from the tanks but they do it a lot. The local petsmart guy I use said he usually takes all the babies home but didn't have any room. They had a jar with about 30 black mollies, a couple guppies and a couple platy's and they were just wanting someone to take them. They buy their fish out of Florida from a wholesaler. I think he said it was Crest fish farms. The only baby fish I've ever seen them keep was a group of convicts and they would only sell the mother and babies together in a group. Kyle
