Yay, nitrites! And... nitrates?

So I have been continuing on with my cycle and religious water changes and I am in the middle of my nitrite peak. But along with my nitrites, I am getting readings of nitrates, already. These showed up at around the same time as my nitrite -- is this okay?

Today's readings:
pH 7.2
Ammonia .25 ppm
Nitrite .5 ppm
Nitrate 7.0 ppm

Yeah. that's good. Nitrate is the end product of the ammonia and nitrite eating bacteria, and is removed through water changes. Seeing nitrate means the end of your cycle is getting closer.
