In my 55 I have a couple of amazon sword plants that seem to be turning yellow. I assume that they are missing something in their diet but not sure what it might be. Any ideas or is this one of those could be anything things?

0 amm/nitri
20 nitrate
27ppm co2

Been dosing with flourish 3xweek per the bottle and adding nitrate as the plants gobble it down. I don't know how to test for iron so I have been adding one capful of flourish iron once a week. Also have the root tabs in. Any ideas?

yeah.. iron deficiency WOULD cause yellowing, but it looks like youre taking care of that.

Currently running 2 of my 4 65watt cf's on the tank for 8 hours and turn on the other 2 for 4 hours. (Both sets on for 4 of the 8 hours) so I think I am getting enough light. I turned the co2 up a tad tonight to see if that has any effect.

How are you dosing nitrate, with KNO3 or something else? You might not be getting enough potassium in there but root tabs usually have some too.

I don't see where you mentioned adding any Phosphate. You should have at least 1.0 ppm if you are keeping your nitrates at 20.

Flourish itself has plenty of iron, especially for swords, I don't think that iron is your culprit.
