Yellow Lab Cichlids courting?

I've bred mbunas before with great success and am kind of concerned about that vid. First, what else is in that tank? Looks like a flying fox or roseline shark? Second, it looks like territorial chasing to me and not so much like courting. The tank itself appears to be too small which, if they're not courting, will be a long term problem. Good luck!

If you look at her from the side, when she is not holding the line from her lower lip to the bottom of her gill is fairly straight. If she is holding, it will bulge down. Usually she will be at least a little more shy, but that doesn't always happen. She will eat little or nothing while holding.

Here's a pic I found of a female holding...(not my pic)

Okay thanks! For the time being it does not look like shes carrying. Guess I'll have to wait and see :)

I have recently crossed a yellow lab female with a blue zebra male and have about 20 fry all surviving in a separate tank. The majority are yellow with faint stripes and some are pale blue with faint stripes. Some of the young will likely take on the appearance of the OPs fish which are definately hybrids.

I agree with the idea that it is a territorial chasing and not a courting ritual in which you will see them moving slowly in a circular way near the substrate or a rock and the female stopping frequently to pick up with her mouth one by one, every egg fertilized by the male.
