Hello,
I got a yellow leather the other day and it was attached to a little pebble. I was wondering if I sat it on a chunk of live rock will it grow on to it without my helping? I currently have it wedged into place in a cranny in a large rock and would like it to cover it. to help you all out a touch my tanks specs are: 90 gallons 145-155 lbs of live rock, 2 65 100000 k metal halides 2 65 wat blue acintics water paramaters good tank up and running for 7-8 months. This is my first venture into photsythetic inverts and I just want to make sure I'm doing everything right. I'll be setting up a 250 gallon reef next so expect some more questions.
Thank you in advance
Chris.

You should be able to place the pebble on to the live rock and the leather should attach to the live rock as the base expands. I would not reccomend removing the leather from the pebble as reattaching a leather can be a pain. You will usually have to rubberband them down and it can take severdays to a couple of weeks to reattach. This is what is done when a leather is fragged. Hope this helps.
