I have an established 83g tank with a dozen angelfish and a bunch of cardinal tetras (15-20 or so) and I'm trying to add a few potted plants to replace the plastic ones.
I recently bought one plant that looks like a Red Ozelot Sword except it's all green, not red. I also purchased two Madagascar lace plants. The ozelot one is developing yellow spots on its leaves even though it sprouted a large new leaf. There is plenty of nitrates, no ammonia, no nitrites, pH 6.8.
I only use gravel as substrate in the pots and I add a general "all in one" fertilizer for general aquatic plants once a week.
I can't really say what the lighting stats are - I'm using an old second hand tank with a halogen light track and two yellow-ish halogen bulbs. I'm assuming this isn't enough light - but the fish like it (they're breeding like rabbits) Is there anything else I can do to help my plants?
