Mysis,
It was a secondary bacterial infection from the parasite. When immunity is weakened the fish can be susceptible to their environment. Bacteria live with the fish everyday of their lives.
The red blotchiness started around the back end of the tang. The fish was thinning and lumpy. It had what looked like strings or antennas coming out of the fish. The exact organism I don’t know.
Badroma1,
Don’t feed too much of the medicine. It does a fine job of killing parasites along with some -bacteria. That is great your fish is turning around for the better. Do get Selcon. It’s vitamins for fish.
