Yellow Tang Question

I would say that the tangs colouration is due to stress in my opinion, rather than a disease or paracite..

Oh, and the star is chocolate chip..

i was just hanging out my my lfs owner and he said the fish died and the spots were early ich. he was a scaredy fish and was being picked on by the others in the tank.

Could be stress I suppose, battling the cyano and hair algae has been a daily chore that involves sticking my arm in the tank and trying to extract as much as I can. I cut my lighting period in half and added a couple a powerheads, so it could just be an adjustment for the tang. Knock wood, I do appear to be winning the algae battle.

A chocolate chip? Really? Doesn't look like any CC pictures I'd ever seen before. The LFS couldn't identify it, and after a few hours looking around, I couldn't identify it either.

Whatever it is, it's eats everything and has doubled in size.

I forgot to let you know that my tang doesn't seem to have what you described.
