I'm in the process of cycling a 15 gallon long, it's been runnig bout 2 weeks now.

4 days ago I only checked the Ammonia, then it was 2.0 ppm.

yesterday's tests

Ammonia .25

Ph 8.2

Nitrite 2.0

Nitrate 10

Sg 1.020

Should i be looking for ammonia & nitrite to fall to zero ?
Or did my Ammonia levels ever get high enough for the tank to cycle properly ? Or maybe ammonia went higher & I just missed it ?

amm has to be at 0 trites at 0 trates at 0 Don't attemt a cleaning crew till amm and trites are at 0. My trates are at 12 and I can't get them down no matter what I do. The fish and inverts aren't bothered by my trates.
BTW, my 55 cycled in 18 days but I still waited another month before I added anything to it. IMO, well worth the patience.

Nitrates dont have to be at 0, they only start to get toxic once they start to reach the far end of a test strip, and even then it depends on the animals resistance to it.
