Sooo very nearly there. Nitrites have gone from deep purple to baby pink and fading every day. So now I really have to make up my mind about what I'm going to put in there. Its a 26 gallon (UK) which is about 31 US gallons I believe. Originally every fish I was interested in was too big, so now I want to fill it with as much interest and colour as I can.

These are the fish I have considered along the way:

Betta
Diamond Tetras
Harlequin Rasboras
Platies
Zebra Loach

Also looked at other tetras and gouramis, Firemouth Panchax...

Can anyone suggest a good combination? And numbers of each please?

Thats a nice sized tank for a community environment.

10 H.Rasboras
4 Female Platies
2 Male Platies

5-6 Congo Tetras
5 Bronze Cories

Option 4

depends... bettas are a bit of a gamble... mine is fine with other fish, but i've heard tales about them attacking other fish. try it, but be prepaered to send it back to the LFS. also, just get all male platies if you don't want any babies.
