Yikes!! (gator content)

Not with swamp land, but human/wildlife encounters out here are just as prevalent. And worse--people buy little mountain properties, and are thrilled when the deer and elk show up. Until the same animals eat their flowers and gardens, so the people 'help' by feeding the animals, congregating them all in one spot. Then unhappy homeowner freaks out when a mountain lion or wolf pack shows up to take advantage of the buffet. It's just annoying.

True, true. Especially when a person invades the animal's space....you're just asking for trouble...

Thats got to be a sight, a pack of wild wolves in your back yard, scary yes...but still pretty incredible.

When I lived in Florida the gators used to come after my lures.

Nothing like unhooking a few trebble hooks from a mad little gator!! Been there done that!!

Believe me, there's no shortage of gators. ... ... People WILL buy swampland in Florida, it happens every day :o
I've seen many new neighborhoods built - right on top of cypress hammocks!!

Cypress trees grow in groups, in swamps, they need constant moisture... This swampy area, converted for people to use, continues to be a low and wet land - even though it has been 'filled in'..

Ummm, cut the line from 15'?

NO NO!!! Not when you have an $8 lure involved!! You risk bit fingers and getting hooked yourself to get the lure back!! I'm talking the little cute gators, the bigger ones don't really chase lures.

note to self: dont live there

i dont need that much of hands on time with nature.

Im sad when anything is killed. We live on their hunting grounds and are shocked when one chooses barney the neibor instead of ruff ruff
