But anyways, I've heard that bettas can be trained but never actually heard of anyone doing it. should be an interesting experience, and it will impress your friends.
you can definitely train goldfish to run a maze. as for the rest of that stuff, I don't know. but it's not out of the question. i've seen videos of mice climbing a ladder up one level, using a pulley to pull the ladder up to his level, then using the ladder up to another level, and onward. animals will do just about anything for food (along with several other primary biological needs) - kinda like people :rofl:

There's a video floating around of a goldfish doing all of those tricks. It can be done.
I don't feed him more than six pellets in a day, and no more than three at a time. I've read on a few places that allowing him a few minutes a day to flare at a mirror is like us running for exercise, and is good for conditioning the betta to mate, or just to keep him healthy.
