Hi guys, got a little project for you all.
Ive just established a small 40lt tank and now i can not decide what to stock it with. The tank is the one i use for my avitar. Im thinking of 3 5cm gibbiceps until they grow too big, maybe a surface dweller like a butterfly fish or some hatchet fish with something for the mid water. Im not really into the stock standard fish. Been there bored with that. the weirder the more wonderful but community in mind.HELP ME DECIDE!!
I am pretty sure that no matter what, ill upgrade to a 3ft tank before long but in the mean time........

topwater:1 male or female betta,guppies,powder blue,pearl,honey,or paradise gourami.

midwater/top: about 8-10 neon,cardinal,rummy nosed,glowlight or black neon tetras

bottom dwellers:corydoras,clown pleco,rubberlip pleco,oto's,SAE's (maby) or yoyo loaches.
:p: :) ;)

40lt = 10.5 gallons

1 dwarf gourami, a small school of corys, a snail and plants plants plants!

Yeah, was thinking about Dwarf gourami but as the gibbi's are so pehistoric looking, was hoping to continue this theme throughout the tank. Am trying for a beauty OR the beast type tank. But then again maybe the contrasts would work even better? something to think about???? (gotta admit, love the rummy nose as well)

pearl gourami

They get to big for a ten.

I personally have been wanting to get some thread fin rainbows for a ten, you could have 4-5 of them and nothing else if you want those.

gibbi sometihng? what's that? anyway... how can you let other people decide for you? sheesh... anyway, anything the above reccomended would be fine.

Gibbeceps is a species of catfish(pleco) they get pretty big at approx 17-18"

other common name for it is 'sailfin'

very cool looking cat but you need a big tank for it

As to fish catchers comment, easy, i want to see what other people come up with to see if there is a combination of fish that i would never of thought of. the more opinions, the better the final outcome.
