You know you're a fishkeeper when.......

You know your a natural born fish keeper when the first time your little girl pleads for a fish tank, you get her a 10gal for her birthday, then three months later you get "her" a 75gal.

You know you are a fish keeper when you call your local zoo aquarium and ask the curator what to feed your newly hatched baby octopus and he asks if he can come to your house and see them.

You know you are a fish keeper when you have so many tanks that you apply for a job as the keeper of the fort worth zoo aquarium marine section and you get the job even though they don't know anything about you other than what you tell them, no job experience, no references to give them, just what you know from your own personal experience as an avid hobbyist.

You KNOW you are a fish geek when:

you are watching a crime drama and they find scales from "Carassius auratus" and you say "common goldfish" before they can...

yes, for real, last nite :) !!!

I'm such a geek...

You know when you're a fish keeper when you check AC before you check your email.

You know you're a fishkeeper when you think of the weight of the filing cabinets at work in terms of tank size..... "this cabinet weighs about the same as a 40 gallon"

just said the above to a co-worker! lol.

You know you are a fish keeper when you know the employees at your lfs so well that they come to dinner.

You know you're a fishkeeper when you post in this thread.

You know you're among fishkeepers when the above comment has most likely already been posted.

YKYAFKW you become very concerned about the size and composition of the beams holding the second floor up and the location of the load bearing walls they're on, and you don't own a waterbed.
