So, it's that time of year again...:headshake2:

Cold weather, dry air, being cooped up in the house, stress over the holidays...who knows why, but it's cold season!

I have a cold. I've been staving it off with all sorts of remedies. Oil of oregano, garlic oil, echinacea, Vitamin C, lots of fluids...but all I am doing is keeping it at bay, so that it's nothing more than headache and sore throat and a general feeling of yuckiness. Hopefully it will pass in another week!

What do you all usually do when you get a cold?

All I know is that a few years ago I switched from soda to green tea and ever since then I rarely get sick.

hot orange juice works for me :) and a water bottle
living in scotland is cold all year round lol

Hey, that sounds good! *puts the tea kettle on*

I do believe an excess of sugar and/or sugar substitutes are very hard on the body, combine that with the corrosive acids and CO2 that soda contains...and you have some bad stuff for ya!

I try and pretend it's just my allergies acting up, then when it hits full on and won't respond to the allergy meds I feel sorry for myself and try to get some extra sleep. I'll also drink orange juice and a lot of water.

hot bourbon with a dollop of honey

my moms soup with lots of garlic.

Considering i get sick once every 4-6 years (I mean something that lasts more than 12 hours) I generally do nothing if I ever start to feel ill.

That is until Sunday where my throat started hurting, then by back, then my ears, then my head, then i started coughing and sneezing and then my nose was running faster than i could catch it....in those cases i go straight to the doctor.
