Your favorite small algae eater?

Oto's would be ok...just suppliment accordingly.

Absolutely. I'm not worried about not having enough algae for their whole diet. I feed my eight-year-old pleco and my 12-year-old chinese algae eater Hikari algae wafers and they are doing great. The guppies love to nibble them too. Great source of veg in their diet.

the little know pitbull pleco is the best. way hardier then otos and about he same size full grown. i have 3 in my 29 and they have eaten everything execpt green spot. i love these guys, just wish they where easier to find. my lfs got them in with thier otos and where selling them as otos.

Since when do pitbull plecos look like otos? Red Ramshorn snails are actually pretty good snails, they rarely eat plants and prefer algae, and lots of it!

That's so cool. I'll have to keep my eye out at the store. Plecos are definitely my favorite algae eater for a bigger tank, but a dwarf one would be great.
