Well jack Dempsey #1 is becoming extremely aggressive, flares and tail whips JD #2 all the time... #1's behavior is leading me to the conclusion that its a male, its been undecided for almost 5 months now so lets try again

Aggression can be a sign that she's got a clutch somewhere. Mine is nearly identical when she breeds, then her colours soften once the eggs are gone.

nope no eggs ive watched her closely and shes swimming all over the tank... she has an interest in EBJD #1
