how big of a tank do two yoyo loaches need?i would like to get two but im not sure how big they get.i have always liked loaches and im being invaded by snails.

Yoyo loaches should be kept in no less than a 30 gallon aquarium. Yoyo are a social fish and should be kept in groups of 3 at the absolute minimum, but they would do much better with a group size of 5.

Yoyo loaches tend to reach around 4-5 inches on average.

IMO opinion 3 yo-yo loaches would be fine in your 30g for a while... In my experiences Loaches tend to grow slow even in large tanks. Watch the yo-yos closely if you get them they can be aggresive I had one that killed my Angels...

i have six female bettas in the 30 gal.do yoyo's do ok in pairs?or is there a smaller loach i could get? i love loaches and want one so bad but i do not want to put any fish through stress or stunting so i can have my way.

Yoyo loaches should not be kept in pairs. The dominant loach will constantly bully the submissive loach. If you were to add them get 3 minimum. If you really are serious about keeping loaches I would recomend getting a new aquarium and designing it around them.

i dont have the space to get a bigger tank,oh well,i guess ill get some loaches sometime whenever i have more room.so its not good for them to be by themselves?and what would be a good snail controller?i dont overfeed my fish,i think they are eating my plants,the're common pond snails.

well i didnt want to buy a fish just to get rid of the snails,i have always wanted to get a loach but i wasnt sure whether or not i could fit some in my tank.i dont think i could freeze the snails either,it seems like a slow death.
