YUM YUM SNAILS!!!

In a garlic butter sauce, they arent that bad. The tire-like chewyness is what gets you

hmmm...everyone else in my family enjoy eating those sea whelks. I can't stomach the thought of eating it steamed, out of the shell. It's it's sliced and prepped with sauce or something, sure. Otherwise, yeck.

The ones I've had before were served in the shells with real butter and heavy garlic.. served with toast points. I was wary at first, but they were unbelievably delicious.

I went to Paris for a month 5 years ago and I had escargot with nearly each dinner that I ate at restaurants. The were much better than I thought they would be. I first had them sans shell in a tomato sauce on bread (Sicilian style) and that was actually darn good.
Not sure about sea whelks though. The taste of the ocean may get to me.

LOL, now imagine what the reaction would be if they served fried loach :lipssealedsmilie:
