ACk! i recently discovered ich spots on a few of my black skirts, and now im starting a salt bath im up to about 1 tsp per gallon. over the last few days my zebra danios having actinig wierder and wierder and now there chasing each other around frantically and it looks semi aggressive too. prior to that they were breathing heavily and looked like they were nipping around as if to catch somthing. anyone know what could be causing this? or is this a normal side effect of ich? im affraid they might have somthing else and i dont want to leave that to get worse. any suggestions?

37 gal ammonia 0 / nitrite 0 / nitrate 15 / ph 7.2

8 zebra danios, 6 black skirt tetras, 2 black mollies and 1 rope fish.

now that i look again it seems the danios are turning a reddish color too, esspecially on thier gills :sad

Hopefully you didn't give the zebra danios too much salt. They don't need any. You might also try a water change if you haven't in a while. The nitrates are below 20, but they can be lowered.

Its normal for zebra danios to chase each other. They are proably breeding. If you want the eggs to hatch, you need to find the parents and put them in a tank with marbles. Zebra danios eat their own eggs so the marbles allow the eggs to fall between them so they can't be eaten.
