Zebra pleco

Believe it or not, Zebra Plecos are one of the easier plecos to breed. Their small size makes them a decent candidate for keeping one pair of fish in a 10 gallon tank, their eggs are large, and the fry are hardy (all relatively speaking, of course). I'm sure there are a lot of hobbyists that are producing these fish.

All my research seems to concur.
Problem with being in Hawai is the strict DoAg restrictions.
I've heard there's *one* breeder down here that sells them at $200 - $300 a pop!
Time to give em competition?

Just a warning, several people have been ripped off by sellers in Germany selling Zebras. The guy selling them has no feedback. For more info, there is a thread on the forums at planet catfish.

Yep, that doesn't surprise me.

I bought my gold nugget for $25Can. I have had him for almost a month and he seems to prefer shrimp pellets over other foods and veggies.

Gold Nuggets feed primarily on pellets. Give them frozen bloodworms or blackworms as well. Everything I've read suggests that they do not eat very much algae.

I have been dropping in some frozen bloodworms and some frozen brine shrimp. I just don't know how much he gets. Everyone else chows that stuff down as it makes its way to the bottom. Got any suggestions?
