zebra plecos???

how hard are these guys to find? and what are they like? i think theyre pretty interesting looking.

Yeah, you can get some from Live Aquaria.....but they cost over $300.

Well, they used to have zebra plecos there, but I just checked and didn't see any....hhmmm.....but they are hard to find and cost alot.

Yeah, they cost upwards of £150 in the uk. I remember about 5 years ago I decided against buying one at £27.50. Silly me.

They're critically endangered now - due to total overfishing before anybody knew just how few (in the wild) there were - and so no more can be caught untill the population regenerates.... hence the ridiculous pricetag.

There was an article in a recent edition of PFK on how to breed them. cant remember which issue, but it was within the last 3 months i think.
