Hello everyone! This is probably a dumb question but I can't seem to find any info on it anywhere. I want to set up a small planted tank and get a few zebra shrimp to put in there but I'm not 100% sure as to whether they will destroy plant life or not! :p: How big of a tank do I need for say 2 or 3 zebra shrimp? Would they be a good addition to a planted tank? Any info is appreciated. Thanks! :)

Ooh. That sounds great. Thanks!! I definitely want to do that! I'm actually thinking of maybe setting up a 1 gal. I want something small and easy maintence.

due to common belief a smaller tank doesnt neccessarily mean its easier to take care of...

That's so true. In fact smaller tanks are always harder to take care of! Since they are smaller they need more water changes (less bacteria I beleive correct me if I'm wrong)! Plus as the fish grow and breed you will have to worry about it being overstocked and about the fish getting big. Though thats usually not the case with dwarf shrimp.

What I meant about easier maintenence was that it'd be less water for me to change out! Sorry! I've had larger tanks before and the amount of water I had to change drove me crazy since I can't lift that much and my tanks can't be placed anywhere near a sink or bathroom with the way my apartment is laid out. With a 1 gal, I can easily pick up the entire tank and move it whenever I need to. :) Thanks for all the feedback though! I'll keep that in mind and debate whether I wanna add shrimp or not!
