Maybe it requires something to get it started. Some extrenal heat. Try adding fire to this combination.

Something along the lines of you will not be held responsile if people burn down their houses, remove all facial hair through explosions or are divorced by their spouses.
And that you wil not accept and charges for local fire brigades / hospital care / counselling relating to this experiment...... Any one who does try the fire idea does so at their own risk..... :D ;)
But it's got to be worth a go...Some-one else let me know how they get on.... :D

just heat up some antifreeze for smoke
ChicoRaton

yeah. antifreeze is very similar to the "fog juice" used in fog machines.
I think it's propylene glycol vs. ethelyne glycol.

You want smoke?
2 parts sugar
1 part potassium nitrate (KNO3) - see plant forum for sources ;)
a few sheets of newspaper
mix sugar and KNO3 with just - JUST - enough water for them to form a paste together. Spread the paste over the newspaper (if you make it thicker, you may want to add a few more sheets on top.
let it dry - it should look like flaky white crystals, greyish from the newsprint
Take it outside and light it up.

Nah, mine's harmless, as long as you take the normal precautions you would when dealing with flamables and fires.
But then I should ad the disclamour:
Exercise caution when mixing flamable materials with fire. Use only on a non-burning surface.

When I was a kid my brother and I would make "napalm". You took a jar of gasoline and started putting styrofoam into it. It would melt quickly and you would keep feeding the styrofoam in until it turned into a thick goo.
Then you pour it on something and light her up!(Usually an anthill)
PS. Thanks HappyChem, I am investigating your recommendation. Hehehehehehe.(Now, I have a chemist to help me make cool stuff that burns:mad2 I'M GONNA BURN THIS WHOLE WORLD DOWN!!!!)
Fire! Fire! Huh huh. Huh huh. Fire is cool.

I'm glad to see that I wasn't the only devious kid. We made the napalm also, but instead of using styrofoam we used vasoline. Just mixed the gas with the vasoline and stir it together.
We would build Lego cities and bomb them with our naplam. Oh the fun we had. You know some people here are going to think that we are crazy. No we were just young kids.:D

Hmm, we used to make napalm and moltov cocktails out of soap and gasoline.
We had alot of fun with fireworks and diy 'bombs' we made out of fertilizer, gunpowder and the like.
It was all fun and games until my friend caught his deck on fire.
Good thing we had it on tape though. That way they knew who to punish.
Havent played with any of that stuff since middle school, which is probably a good thing. :p
