Got two 10 gallon setups last night. Somewhere along the line, one of the aquariums developed a crack. It isn't a major crack, it's about four inches long in the upper left corner about half an inch from the rim. Anyway, what are some things I could silicone over it on the inside so I won't see it? I am keeping a betta in it, so I will only fill it with eight or nine inches of water to be safe. I just don't want to see it every time I look in the aquarium, things like that distract me. I was thinking of siliconing a plastic plant over it, or maybe some of those flat "river stones" you can buy. Let's see who can come up with the best idea...

10g are only $8.99. The hassle of a possible leaky mess or harm to the betta wouldn't be worth it to me IMO.

I wouldn't put any water in the tank, and a partially filled tank can actually put more pressure on the seams and be more likely to cause that crack to burst. Either way, with a crack that big and in that location, it's no good for water anymore. No amount of siliconing over and outside the crack will help. You could replace the glass pane, but it would be cheaper to buy new.
Just so you know, water wisteria puts on emmersed growth with that water depth wich would cover that up with carefull placement of the plant. However I wouldn't use it. Think of how much money in water damage an exploding tank would/will cuase. Does a ten gallon cost that much? I HIGHLY doubt it.

Thats here in Canada...and to be honest, even if it was $20 for a tank, it would be worth it because its holding your pet as well as ensuring the thing doesnt split into 2 pieces in the middle of the water, releasing lots of water on the ground as well as possibly a betta.
