I was painting the background today and when I finished putting everything back together, I noticed there is a huge crack in my frame. The fish tank is tilted a little bit but I didn't think it was that big of a deal. Is this a big deal?

Instead of making them all fish tanks, make a few reptile tanks. Maybe get some Geckos, that would be sweet.

I picked up two amazon swords plants at the lfs the other day. Do you think they will survive in a play-sand substrate? Do I need those Flourish Tabs?

I like the show, lol. Its interesting that they do different kind of tanks, not always the same rectangle format. I myself would prefer a more natural look, but hey it's not my tank. The shark tank was nice, and the refrigerator is okay. I bet all the cichlids are going to claim different...

I just got my cichlid tank cycled. Right now I have: 3 yellow labs, 2 aceis, 2 white albino something, and 1 blue with black stripes. I got them as babies for about $30. I'll probably add some more down the line, like a red peacock or something nice.

This is going to be a 55 gallon cichlid tank, and just started doing a fishless cycle. The light has 60 watts: one 10,000k and one Actinic 03 lamp plus 8 blue leds. Can I add these plants anytime during the cycling process, and do they require nutrients?

I have a 264 gph aquatop canister filter in a cabinet below the tank. Which is fairly quiet. I was thinking to put sheetrock and maybe some acoustic panels in the cabinet to keep the sound down. Has anyone ever tried something like this?

I just bought a new 750gph Hydor koralia evo for my new 55 gallon tank, and it is makeing a loud humming sound. From other reviews I read they said it's almost silent, but mine way too loud. Do they get quiet as time goes by?

I have a lot of fiji rocks (from my old saltwater tank) that have been in my garage for about two years. If I boil the rocks will they work in the tank? I was thinking it will raise the ph like limestones.
