If anyone has any comments or experiences as far as treating a FO main tank please let me know. This is a new experience as far as SW diseases and the more I know the better.
What causes brook...I haven't added anything new? Could they have got it when I transferred them over...maybe from being out of the water for a short period of time or something.
I am doing something yall probably aren't going to agree with, but I was desperate. I treated them in...
Thanks Mandy...it does seem to be Brook---not good at all for the fish. That would be almost impossible to treat all of them like described in the link. Is there anything that can be added to the tank to kill off the bacteria and not harm the fish? I know the link says they have to be QTed so...
The spots do look like salt grains! The tank in FOWLR and the spots are on several of the larger fish now...what is the biggest concern if I treat the main tank? It is starting to appear on just about all of the fish and I'd hate to move them all out espaecially due to their size! Some actually...

Thanks for your comments. The QT bucket would be 32g...don't know if that is big enough now that one of my tangs are also showing signs of it. This is a FOWLR tank.
I'll attach a pic...

Hey everyone,
Having a little prob w/my emperor angel. He has white little balls building up around the face/neck area. I'm assuming it is ick, but could it also be stress from being moved to a different tank???
If it is ick, should I treat him in the main tank or in a X-large...
Good question...The LPS said the max could be 1" of fish per 2 gallons which personally I don't think is enough. I can't really get a good estimate until the fish reach their max size...which in captivity is a lot smaller than the deep sea ( :
I'm guessing about 150" of swimming fish...that...
Thanks for the comp and input krj. I plan on seperating the baby shark for at least several months until it is eating well and able to fend for himself. He is currently in my 110 w/ the small tangs. If for some reason he does not do well with my dogface (that is the only 1 that might pick on...
Don't know about the clown goby...I have a yellow and a green and all they do is hide in the rocks. There are some pretty good specials on some nice looking gobies at bluezooaquatics.com. I've gotten a lot of fish from them and they are great to deal with...just watch for a couple of weeks and...
No offense taken...I'm in the process of transferring my fish over to a larger tank and I'm more concerned with getting all of them over healthy. The new tank is a bit bare, but there will be a shark and sting ray in it so they need open sand. Some of the pics are from the old tank and my tangs...
