sorry for no updates, i tend to take hiatuses frequently with projects, but i have still been working on it, actually i should be close to actually having it run THIS WEEK if i can balance things right.(oh hey you posted on my birthday )
haha you didnt think i wouldnt hold to my word did you? so here is my first clamp, the tube went through the hole.
but since some designs flaws required that the motor be placed under water i needed a non metal/wood clamp. i found this in the house and it worked out excellently

and here is the bucket that im using as a sump, i found this in the garage under some windows
its set up now and is running fine although the pump tkes a while to purge and the water level is low
the water fall is how i wanted it though the tube is held in place very well
the snails which were living in the bucket keeping the sand alive instantly scavenged the surfaces, im glad that their feet arnt hurt by the sand on the foam

im pretty sure i did but anyway, it will hold at least 2 kuhli loaches and a newt maybe some floating frogs if they don't make noise, anything else is undecided. suggestions?
