I also am a parrot owner, and there are some birds that go for 11,000 (some kind of Black cockatoo) and the hyacinth mackaw goes for about 6-7 grand.

But, birds talk, and snuggle and do tricks too..

I would pay that much for a fish that could sit on the couch with me and watch wheel of fortune. lol

That's because you do not live in Japan. They pay themost to get the very best and rarest fish. We get what is left. I guess it's really a matter of priorities. If we really wanted those extremely expensive fish we wouldget them.

Eh, I've lived there before. They do get some rare fish but not neccessarily more desirable in my opinion.
