Apparently this guy (Raphael Biagini) is pretty well known for capturing huge carp.
After first seeing the pix I thought it was a fake, However, after watching the video shown below, I think its a real fish, but, That doesnt mean the color couldn't have been doctored up.

I find it surprising that there are only 2 pictures of this monster, and no video to be found. But if you look at the way he holds nearly ALL the fish in the video, it is entirely possible to hold a massive fish the way he does in the pic.

Well, the fish is clearly NOT a goldfish, so in essence, the story is unarguably fake.

A fish that size would weigh closer to 300 pounds. I caught a 25 pounds northern pike once and it was about that long but 10 times skinnier.
