I wouldn't do an angel with cichlids, it's not a cichlid tank cichlid.

so i couldnt do any cichlids AND a school of fish? what are the most personable cichlids that can go in a 55 gallon tank?

Idk, I've never kept cichlids before. But I would stick to one type, maybe 2 if they aren't as aggressive, for SA cichlids, as they tend to hate each others company.

ive been researching and i dont see anywhere where it says you can keep an angel with other south american/ central american cichlids. would any bichrs, eels, or gobys work? ok so tell me which of these would work

id make sure to have ALOT rock scape and driftwood = ALOT of hiding places, and territories.
