Wow that's one cool set-up. Hope you will be able to do something as nice as that. However from the sounds of it you are heading in the right direction. As a side idea when looking for a house keep in mind turning a closet near the main room into a tank/terriam. Knew a guy growing up that had one for his reticulated python.

I'd estimate a couple hundred dollars or so...but I have no clue on what filetering equipment they'd be using
