Cloudy (whiteish) aquarium water

I have changed the water 3 or 4 times already without incident.

Just curious, are you sure the tank is cycled? Only 3-4 water changes tells me this is a very young tank.

Good question and, yes, I performed a fishless cycle for about 6 weeks before adding any fish. It worked great and would do it again in a heartbeat.
