I'm sorry you can't find your fish. Did you check outside your tank at all? My one clown likes to jump often. Also, I've had smaller fish disappear in the past and I've never seen a sign of them again...no body, carcass, ammonia spike, nothing.

I am also interested in what else you have in the tank- snails, hermits, shrimp?

Other than the remaining clown I have 1 cleaner shrimp, 3 hermit crabs, 3 turbo snails and 6 cerith snails. Ihave checked all around the tank and in the protein skimmer!

If others have eaten it then it won't cause problems in tank now though will it? I think I'm gonna stick to 1 clown if that's ok!

no, it wont cause any prolems mate...if there is some left in there, caught in a cranny somewhere and rottin, you will notice an ammonia rise...so, just keep an eye on it...

I must admit as I was moving rock around there were a couple of large bits of whiteish stuff floating around??? Is it ok to keep just 1 clown?

if it died your ceriths, hermits, and cleaner shrimp most likely ate it.

that would be fine, you might also try a dwarf angel like a coral beauty or a flame angel. I think there are some wrasses that would do well in there too.
