Eating Habits of Ghost Shrimp (do they include Platy fry?)

That's a good question! I asked that when I bought them, and the sales person didn't know...I thought to break a piece off a sinking pellet and drop that in. Any other suggestions?

They eat very little.
Drop a piece of algae wafer, or do what you said. They'll scavenge around the tank looking for food.

Shrimp are opportunistic scavengers, and eat all sorts of things from algae to decaying plant or animal material. They'll almost certainly be fine with whatever leftover food they can scrounge.
