You're doing what I always thought I'd be doing when I grew up. On a study (some govt. funded study) of vocations and job satisfaction, biologists were found to be the happiest people in their work. (I recently read, however, that marine biologists and oceanographers were increasingly among the most stressed and distressed in their work. No need to ask why, sadly.
