I'll probably sell the Arowana rather than putting it in my grandparents' tank. I mean, I'd love to keep it in there with some discus and angels, because I think it'd look great. There are only 3
problems with that:
1- From what I've read, Arowanas get nasty. Nasty fish don't do well with Discus and Angels
2- Someone mentioned that the silver arowanas will hit 18"; I thought it was more like 36"... either way, it's really too big to be a tankmate for fish under 5", especially with their cavernous mouths.
3- Mine has shown no interest in anything but live food, and I don't anticipate ever being able to get it onto flakes (altho that would be ideal), and since I won't be there every day to feed the thing live food, it's not really an option.
