How about a video/good pictures? Many aquarium fish hunt and eat invertebrates like that, so knowing what you're dealing with is pretty significant because it could turn your alarm into calm acceptance of free food.

I'm tempted to offer you shipping money so I can have some. They sound very interesting and mysterious

I'd guess water fleas(daphnia) or copepod..
generally not a problem in a tank as fish tend to feed on them

Taking a second look, I must of recalled incorrectly, they are white, not black.
They all came out at once after dosing with meds then bleach, but they still didn't die.

I don't have a macro lens, so the photo isn't really clear.

Yep. sounds like copepods. Not a monster that's going to attack your fish, but rather something the fish are going to eagerly hunt. Or had been doing, anyway.

Too bad.

Looks to be what I though originally... Copepods. What type of fish do you have? It could explain why they are glass banging or why they are rubbing off their slime.

Copepods aren't a bad thing...They're a normal part of the microfauna. There are a few that are parasitic, but they'd be seen on the fish, not in the substrate.

Blood parrots isn't going to eat them and it is a bad thing if they start filling up your whole tank -- haha

what's your tank main schedule ?
tank size? inhabitants?

copepods rarely become a problem in a well maintained and properly stocked tanks....the fish usually finish them off well before a population explosion.
