Is my Fishless Cycle Stalled?

IME, ammonia over 4ppm can stall the bacteria cycle. Don't add any more for a couple days, then see what's happening with testing.
I'm not adding anymore, but it's been like that for several days. I tried many water changes. Is there anything else I can do?
Well, you are adding ammonia each water change it seems...so if you factor that in, that might be why you're not seeing a decrease with the water changes.
If you are doing a fishless cycle, why are you doing water changes? When I did my fishless cycling I did water changes when I added to much ammonia (oops) or when test results were to high to measure.

jpappy789, When I first started the cycle, I accidentally added too much ammonia. I did not add anymore after that. I did water changes to fix that, but it had stayed the same. So, I do NOT add ammonia whenever I change the water.

Okay! I did a water change, and it's dropped back to 4 PPM! I'm going to keep my fingers crossed! :grinno:
I know what you mean I over dosed several times.
