a halfmoon betta will have the top and bottom of his tail fin creating a straight line (180 degree spread) when he is fully flaring.

your blue and white betta (the one with the butterfly fin pattern - blue then white at the edges) looks to be a half moon.

well kinda hard to tell since most of the pics they are not flaring but i think you have 1 maybe 2 halfmoons in those pics. look at my avatar see how when mine is flaring its like half a circle? like a fullmoon but cut in half.

I have 3 veiltails, 1 delta tail, 1 doubletail, and 1 crowntail as labeled at Petco/Walmart. The one in question was labeled as delta tail at Petco

if the spread of the tail fin isn't quite 180 degrees when the betta is flaring then it is considered a delta tail instead of a halfmoon, in case you wanted to know.
