With my breeding Kribs it was the male who suddenly became agressive when the fry became free swimming. The female wound with with some ripped fins. But all was well again by the next day and the two then shared parenting duties.
In my case it took several batches of fry before a brood successfully made it past the first week. I think the parents gradually ate them at first.
