i saved him couple days ago, put him in my 55 and i have plenty of food at the bottom for my plecs/loaches

it looked like to me that he needed to eat

well he didn't

i woke up to find him floating around in the tank

so i shot the video

and then he pretty much stooped

so i guess i didn't all the way save him, but i tried

Hmmm...maybe i do(nt) need to read a bit more ...as i was just reading your rescue threads when i posted here...Sorry, but all this is getting confusing.... :eek3:

I'm asking to try and help out on what caused it - he looks ok in those pictures, certainly not a floater, so its got to be something in his tank that beat him up over night.

What was he in with ?

he has a 20 gal
1 midas 1 red parriot, 2 cichlids, and 1 oscar....

edit : ok noticing you had him in your 55...so presumably not that one ^...something in there took him down anyway.

2 plecs, 3 mollys, 2 platys, 2 clown loaches, 4 zebras, 3 hbs, 1 neon tetra, 1 glass fish

the tank that he was in had all sorts of things....keep in mind this a 10gal
cat fish, molly, guppy, dojo loach, Gouramis, tetras, it had cichlids in it

Something in there killed him.

Well that's obviously not a good idea. What about the 20G you said he was in already though (one with Oscar, midas etc. etc) ?

unless my monster 8inch plec tried attacking him...but that fish is lazy

now i was told that the cichlids were trying to kill him awhile ago....and thats why the cichlids got moved to me, then he did the dumb 20 and there back with him

Yep sure don't.

Looks like something in your tank killed that plec though - perhaps he tangled with the larger ones and got spiked up.

i wouldnt know, the chocolate and common only come out at night

It was most likely your other plecos did it during the night, plecos are territorial and a 55g doesn't give them a lot of room when they are that large.

ive never seen that fish be aggressive twords the chocolate on
