Losing a job sucks

So, today I discovered that I am about to lose my job, I am hoping that I get a 3 month transition period which should help with paying the bills and looking for a new job. It sucks, I have never lost a job. That is all.

The job market being crap is what worries me the most, especially coming from the UK where all my qualifications look like a foreign language to most recruiters.

Most of my professional career experience was in the automotive field, I have worked for 3 tier one suppliers. Of course that doesn't do me any good at all, outside of the automotive market.
