Harmless from the looks of it and will probably be starved out but if they bother you remove them. I like the pieces of rock you have. Do you have enough room on the sides to slip a cleaner or magfloat between the rock and glass? It makes life easier when it comes to cleaning the tank.

If you haven't seen ammonia yet, I'd go to using bottled ammonia.

i was away for 4 days... before i came back and tested my water...

the shrimp that i put in 3 days ago... (so 7 days so far total).. has definitely begun rotting... nice white sac around the hoes...

the only thing that holds me back from saying my cycle might have been short is the fact that from what i have read, a large diatom bloom will occur right around the end of the cycle.. i haven't seen that yet...


could i just have one of those instances??
