My L-144 Project

I am quite sure it's too early to tell, but I think it's a boy.. this fish is always pushing everyone else off "his" log lol ("He's" the one on top in the log pic)

Very nice. I have a breeding pair that have produced about 200 babies over the last year. In fact, I think they will spawn again tomorrow (the male fans the cave, and the female comes over to check it out).

Well, it's hard to say from the pictures.. but I would say my first set is around 2" body size, the other 2 are smaller.. maybe only 1.5" but yes I agree! I wish they would hurry up haha I feed them all the time and it's like they still want to eat! my tank has never looked so clean! the one that has 5 in it.. wow haha

I am getting a second 75g here next week so I am thinking about keeping 2 sets now! woot! =)

That sounds great! Mine are about 1.5" in body size and are loving Kens Earthworm Pellets. I'm feeding them snail jello too.

whats the best food to get fish into condition, mine loooooooooove peas.....
Bloodworm and zuc....

What u guy recommend to grow them on quicker and bring them to spawning readiness.

Just was watching the fish today and thought I'd snap a few pics and update the thread =)

Here's 4 that are in a shrimp/snails only tank

And this is 3 from the big tank that has mama and pap lf brown and a total of 5 L-144's

Great looking fish! Mine still aren't showing sex yet, but I just read today that if you put PVC in your tank, only the males will stay in the pipe. I don't know how true that is, especially at this young age, but I figure it's worth a try. I'm going to get some and see if they respond. I still won't rely on that for sexing though...lol.

Ya, I guess I have never heard that before about the pvc, altho it makes sense, at least for when they are older, I dunno about this young either, I bought caves and NONE of my plecos go in there lol but the snails love it.. and the cories, and the shrimp.. but no plecos lol silly kids.

I was watching mine today and I think this is about the time I seen the bristles coming in on the LF albino's that I had.. not sure tho.. but it "feels" like the time, could just be wishful thinking too =)
